
Yesterday the high school students participated in our first annual career day. Students rotated through classrooms with guest speakers and visited static displays from colleges, businesses, and military representatives. Some of our guests were the SWIC Machining Department with whom the students made personalized name plates, sprinkler fitters union, cyber security, law enforcement, agricultural research, teaching, nursing, medical research, and more.





Tomorrow night, February 10, 2023 the National Honor Society is hosting their annual Cancer Night at the high school boys, 6:00pm, basketball game . All proceeds from the basket raffle, 50/50, bake sale, and concessions will be going to a Lebanon staff member who is a cancer fighter. Please come join us and help us help one of our Greyhound family members.

PreK and kindergartner are celebrating 100 days today!!


I will have a meeting tomorrow(Thur Feb 9th) with all girls who are interested in playing high school softball this spring during advisory time at 2:30 in Mr. Cruthis's Health classroom. We are in need of more girls to play in order to have enough to field a team this spring, so please attend this meeting as it will likely decide if we will move forward with the season or be forced to cancel the season. Monday night we recognized our 16 winter sport seniors and their parents. Those sports included our boys basketball, girls basketball, boys bowling, girls bowling and band. Thank you to our seniors and parents for all that you have done for our district. Good luck in your future endeavors. Go Greyhounds!

High School girls basketball will play their 1st game of IHSA Regionals at Christ Our Rock Lutheran High School on Saturday Feb 11th at 5:00 pm. Good Luck Ladies!
HS boys basketball regional opponent and place of the game will be determined late Friday afternoon by the IHSA

Reminder that we will have senior night tonight after the hs girls game vs Bunker Hill. Game will start at 6:00, boys basketball, girls basketball, bowling and band seniors will be recognized at approximately 7:00. HS boys basketball will play Bunker Hill after senior recognition at approximately 7:30. Come out and thank our 13 seniors tonight for these 4 sports.

Congratulations to Senior Emily Nordmann and Sophomore Neela Missey for qualifying for the IHSA Bowling Sectional at Bel Air Bowl. Emily placed 8th overall and was the 2nd individual on a non-qualifying team and Neela placed 15th overall and was the 4th individual on a non-qualifying team.
Overall the team placed 5th, 1 spot shy of qualifying as a team for Sectionals.
Great job team and good luck to Neela and Emily next Saturday at the Belleville East IHSA Sectional.

Spring sports will be starting soon. This is a reminder to make sure your athlete has a current sports physical and all athletic paperwork turned in if they are going to participate in high school baseball, softball or track this spring.
We will have our parent/player coach meeting on Wednesday Feb 15th at 7:00 in the HS gym. Sports fee is $60

We will recognize girls basketball at 6:00 before their game against Bunker Hill

Congratulations to Blake Goetter & Gavin Peters for being Section 22 proficiency award winners! Agricultural Proficiency awards are based on a FFA member’s Supervised Agricultural Experience or Supervised Occupational Experience. They recognize individual skills and career-based competencies developed through multiple years of participation. Gavin placed first in the Landscape Management SAE area for his landscaping business. Blake placed first in the Manufacturing, Engineering, and Trades SOE area for the work he does on his race car. Both boys will move on to the District competition in March where they will have an opportunity to compete to make it to the State competition! Congrats boys and good luck at Districts!

We currently have an opening for a junior high track head coach position. Practices are after school till about 5:00. The season begins Tuesday March 13th and the Regional is Saturday April 29th. Candidates must posses a teaching certificate or be willing to get a coaching certification, pass a background check, get a physical and be available for practices and meets.
