Reminder fall high school sports practices start this afternoon, Monday August 7th. Athletes MUST have a current physical on file with the school, all athletic forms turned in online through the power school registration site and their $60 sports fee which can be paid online on the myschoolbucks app, in the high school office or at the 1st practice. Athletes cannot practice until all of this is done. Reminder athletes should be at practice 15 minutes before the scheduled start time so that they can get warmed up and be ready for practice to start on time. HS Soccer practice starts at 3:30 on the high school soccer field. HS and JH Cross Country practice will start practice at 3:30 on the high school track HS Volleyball will start at 5:00 in the HS Gym

Good evening, the 9th grade and high school new student welcome will take place on Wednesday, August 9 at 9:00am and the 6th grade and junior high new student welcome will be August 9 at 10:00am. Both events will be held in the commons.

Yesterday was the last jh girls basketball open gym until after school starts. Great job to all the girls who came to work on improving their basketball skills this summer. Keep working at home, and keep an eye out for more open gym times once school begins! Coach Derber

HS Soccer, Volleyball, Cross Country and JH Cross Country parent/player/coach meeting tonight at 7:00 in the hs gym. If you have a son or daughter playing one of these sports you need to attend. Practices will start Aug 7th and athletes must have $60 sports fee, online athletic paperwork filled out in power school and a current physical to be able to practice. Fees can be paid on the myschoolbucks app or in the hs office or at tonight's meeting.

Lebanon CUSD #9 is accepting applications to fill a vacancy resulting from a resignation from the Board of Education. The term will be from the date of appointment through April 2025 elections. At LCUSD #9, we believe that education should take place in a fully inclusive environment with equal opportunities for all students and promote high expectations and academic success.This success will be accomplished by the dedicated staff which provides 21st Century skills through academics, social and emotional learning, and physical and multicultural skills. Applicants for the School Board vacancy must be, on the date of election or appointment: a United States citizen at least 18 years of age a registered voter a resident of Illinois and the District for at least one year immediately preceding the election For at least one year immediately preceding the appointment, a School Board Members must: Be a registered voter. Not be a child sex offender. Not hold another incompatible public office. Not have a prohibited interest in any contract with the District. Not hold certain types of prohibited State or federal employment. Applicants should show familiarity with the Board's policies regarding general duties and responsibilities of a School Board and a School Board member, including fiduciary responsibilities, conflict of interest, ethics and gift ban. The Board's policies are available on the District website > Documents/Forms > Board of Education > Board Policies. Resumes may be submitted to Dr. Allison Gaubatz at agaubatz@lcusd9.org beginning August 1, 2023. Resumes will be accepted until August 14, 2023.

Reminder that Coach Seely has jh boys basketball open gyms in the grade school gym on Tuesday and Wednesday nights from 7:00-8:30 pm for any 5th-8th grade boys who are interested in basketball this winter. Coach needs to have better attendance in order to keep having open gyms, so come to the school to train with coach, it will make a big difference by the start of the season!

Reminder We will have our parent/player/coach meeting on Tuesday Aug 1st at 7:00 in the hs gym for the following fall sports: HS Volleyball, HS Soccer, HS/JH Cross Country. If your son/daughter is planning on playing one of these sports you need to attend. Practices will start on Monday Aug 7th. Make sure you have logged into the PowerSchool portal and fill out the athletic paperwork and download and updated physical and log into myschoolbucks to pay the sports fee $60 for hs sports in order to be able to practice Aug 7th. Junior high cross country does not pay a sports fee as it is still considered a club team. Also JH baseball practice will be tomorrow July 31st from 8am-11am. JH Softball practice will be tomorrow 9am-11am. Please bring plenty of water to practice.

Open field is cancelled for today because of possible storms and heat (7-26-23). First practice for JH softball (5th thru 8th grade girls) is Monday, July 31st from 9:00-11-00. Hello Lebanon CUSD #9! Another reminder that there are only 4 more days to be able to get your students registered for the 2023-24 school year! All NEW and RETURNING students need to register. You can find registration info at www.lcusd9.org under the 23-24 Registration link. If you are planning for your student to ride the school bus - this includes our regular routes and our pay bus routes - you MUST get signed up on the enrollment forms! The pay bus will be first come first served. Have a great week everyone!
