Hello Lebanon CUSD #9! Another reminder that there are only 4 more days to be able to get your students registered for the 2023-24 school year! All NEW and RETURNING students need to register. You can find registration info at www.lcusd9.org under the 23-24 Registration link. If you are planning for your student to ride the school bus - this includes our regular routes and our pay bus routes - you MUST get signed up on the enrollment forms! All 5th-8th grade boys who are going to come out for junior high baseball, next week you have your parent/player/coach meeting on Tuesday at 7:00 in the hs gym. Then starting on Wednesday July 19th, Coach Nelson will have baseball practice from 8am-11am and this will also happen on Thursday July 20th and Friday July 21st at the same times. Then Coach Nelson will be gone for a week, so practices will start back up on Monday July 31st at 8:00 AM.
Athletes must have their online athletic paperwork turned in and a current athletic physical to participate on Wednesday July 19th. $40 sports fee must be paid by the July 31st practice date or your athlete cannot participate on the 31st. Remember this can be paid in the high school office or on the myschoolbucks app where you pay school fees.

What is a Paraprofessional?
A paraprofessional is a specially trained and certified educational worker who helps teachers and students in the classroom. They provide instructional support to teachers and students, helping them understand and learn different subjects like math, science, English, and social studies.
Paraprofessionals are a valuable part of the education process. They help to ensure that instruction is efficient and effective by providing support in several ways. Their main responsibilities involve assisting with instruction, providing support during testing, working with students with special needs, managing classrooms, and generally bringing positive energy into the learning environment.
Paraprofessionals may also help with other tasks such as grading papers, preparing materials for lessons, supervising students during lunch or recess, or providing guidance to students who need extra help. They are an important part of the school’s staff and play an essential role in helping create a safe learning environment for all students.
Starting on Wednesday July 19th any 5th grade thru 8th grade boys who are interested in playing basketball for the junior high team this year can come to open gym in the grade school gym from 7:00-8:30 with Coach Seely. Coach will have these on every Tuesday and Wednesday through August(except during open house)

Happy 4th of July from the Athletic Department!
We want to remind everyone that fall sports will be starting later this month for jh baseball(July 19) and jh softball(July 31). Then hs soccer, volleyball and cross country(both jh and hs) will start Aug 8th.
So this is a friendly reminder to get athletic physicals done and then make sure that you fill out the athletic forms when you register for school starting next week. You can also pay your jh sports fee $40 and your hs sports fee $60 on your myschoolbucks app. Reminder that all of these things must be done before your student is allowed to participate in any tryout or practice.
Last thing, we are looking for coaches this year in the following positions: Hs/Jh cross country head coach, hs assistant cheer coach, jh assistant cheer coach, jh head track coach, jh assistant track coach, hs head track coach, hs assistant track coach.
