HS Soccer- Lincoln Hamm, he is a captain and had 3 goals and 2 assists in 3 games last week. Keep up the good work Lincoln!
HS Volleyball
JV Athlete of the Week:
Danika Toth
Danika has made a significant impact on both the JV and Varsity teams with her effort, energy, and positive attitude. She never complains or shies away from adversity instead, she faces it head-on. Coach Kempfer and I have been very impressed with her growth and development this season. No matter what level or role we put her in, she gives her absolute best. We are proud of the excellence she continues to bring to our program as both a player and a person.
Varsity Athlete of the Week:
Addison Durbin
Addison has been an incredible factor for our team this season through her dedication and consistent maximum effort, both on and off the court. No matter what role we place her in, Addy executes it at the highest level. I’m extremely proud of how much she has bought into this season and the tremendous growth she has shown as both a player and a person.
HS Cross Country-Leonie Boucard is a foreign exchange student from France and she ran in her 1st cross country meet ever this past Saturday. She works very hard in practice and is determined to improve as an athlete, teammate and friend to all the other athletes. Great job Leonie!
JH Baseball
For the last week of the regular season, I want to recognize several players on the junior varsity team. This past Saturday we traveled to New Athens and the junior varsity team got the victory 6 to 2. Joesy Cramer-Herrera pitched three innings giving up one earned run and also contributed at the plate with an RBI. Joesy earned the victory on the mound. Carter Powell pitched the last two winnings, giving up an unearned run and closed out New Athens by getting the save. Carter was also 2 for 2 at the plate with an RBI and a run scored. Also contributing to the team win was Max Hoopes. Max was 1 for 1 at the plate with a walk and two runs scored. Max also made a nice inning ending catch in left field. Aiden Brockhahn had two stolen bases in the game and walked once.
JH Softball
The JH Softball players of the week are 5th graders, Lupita Mojica-Hernandez and Addie Henderson. Lupita wears the #8 jersey for the Greyhounds. She is one of our youngest pitchers. She works hard and has no fear on the mound at all facing our opponents. She has pitched in a few "B" games that we've played and done quite well. Lupita can play outfield as well as 2nd base. She is always smiling! She may be small, but she fits right in with our team! Addie wears the #5 jersey for the Greyhounds. She is also one of our youngest pitchers. She ended up with a concussion for part of our season and had to sit out. When she was released to play, she came back ready! Addie has pitched and faced a few batters during some "B" games. She does very well on the mound and is always trying her hardest to throw strikes. She has a great push off from the mound and you can tell she really enjoys pitching! She has been a great addition to the Greyhound softball team. I'm excited to see what the future holds for these two 5th grade pitchers for the Lebanon Greyhounds. Congratulations girls!

Athletes of the Week for Sept 8th-12th
JH Baseball
Jamaar Brown is the first player of the week. Over the three games this past week, Jamaar batted .444 with 5 RBI in and 4 stolen bases. He also pitched well on the mound giving us some much needed innings pitched.
Isaac Boesen is the second player of the week. Isaac batted .400 with two stolen bases and also giving us a good pitching performance. Both players are competitive and have had good attitudes through throughout the year.
JH Softball players of the week are Holland Burress and Allie Hogg.
Holland wears the #12 for the Lebanon Greyhounds. She is a hard worker when it comes to any sport she plays. She always gives 110%. Holland is a player that coaches want to have on their team because of her work ethic. In our last game against All Saints Academy, she had 3 plate appearances with 2 hits and 1 RBI. That gave her an average of .667 for the game. Holland has a sister on the team and they really support each other as well as the rest of the team. Congratulations Holland.
Allie wears the #7 for the Lebanon Greyhounds. She has become a great asset to our team. She can play outfield as well as infield and is also one of our younger pitchers. In our last game she had 4 plate appearances, 2 hits with one of them being a double. She also had 5 RBIs to help Lebanon get the win over All Saints Academy. Allie has a total of 18 RBIs on the season. The ability to play anywhere on the field is huge. She knows the positions and knows the game very well. Congratulations Allie!
High School Soccer
Aaron Suydam scored 4 goals in 3 games last week, which helped lead the Greyhounds to a 3-0 perfect week with wins over Granite City, Staunton and Vandalia.
High School Volleyball
Junior Varsity
Jada Williams
Jada has truly strived in her confidence and playing ability on and off the court. The development and hard work she put into this season hoes without show. Whether Jada is on or off the court she always strives to bring joy and energy towards her team.
Varsity
Mariah Nunn
Mariah has come a very long way in her playing career looking back at her sophomore year self. I am truly proud of the leader she has stepped up to be both on and off the court. She encourages her underclassman when they get their shot and she dominates the court when it's her turn. Her saves in the back row is what helps keep her team in long rallies and keep our momentum high.

One of many activities in our aftercare program offers an excellent opportunity to create amazing pictures using melting beads. Thanks to the PTO, we always have a supply of these beads. Creativity knows no bounds for both younger and older participants. Additionally, the PTO has supported the purchase of more games and puzzles. This program assists parents who need extra time to pick up their children and provides a fantastic experience by showcasing how different age groups interact inside and outside. We still have open spots available for those who are interested. Thank you to our PTO for the generous donations!
