We also had our Jr. Greyhound 4th grade team scrimmage at 1/2 time and then had a great ending to the night with a 67-57 win over Valmeyer. This gave the boys a 13-17 overall record for the regular season with the most wins since 2015-16. Great job players and coaches!
Please read this month's LCUSD#9 Update for important information and reminders. Parents are encouraged to take the IL 5 Essentials Survey.

Tuesday Night (tonight) is Senior Night and Jr. Greyhounds Night. We will honor our seniors from basketball, cheerleading, bowling and band between games, roughly 6:50pm. We also have invited all of the Jr Greyhound players and their parents to come to the game and watch our high school greyhounds play vs Valmeyer. Admission is free for parents and players of Jr. Greyhounds. Also, our 4th grade girls team will play at 1/2 time of the varsity game, so come on out and enjoy a great night at LHS!

Junior High Bowling by coaches Glenn Stark and Cheyenne Moore
Boys Varsity:
Steven Shirley - Steven started our first match on varsity and led the team with a 152 average. He consistently was in the pocket and made spares to spark his team. Despite it being his first match, he kept it simple and stayed within his game. He has worked hard on his spare shooting and he is off to a great career.
Boys JV:
Ethan Doss - Ethan has taken on the challenge to anchor the JV squad. He has bowled very consistently and can be counted on to deliver a solid game every time out. His average is up nearly 18 pins and he is pushing his teammates to set their score goals higher. The JV squad is very deep and undefeated thanks to his contributions.
Girls JV:
Everly Christ has continued to improve every week, breaking 100 in only her second match. She is a great listener and is always giving her best. She stays positive, and lifts her team up with her attitude and determination
Ava Garbe- Ava continues to hold down the anchor spot and has delivered two great games against tough opponents. She threw the first 200 game for the girls in over 3 years as the girls took a game from a team that hasn't lost a game since they joined the league 3 years ago! She is focused and has set big goals to reach the State tournament this year!
Volleyball by coaches Doug Becker and Geri Carpenter
Varsity: Marley Pier
This week we are proud to recognize our 8th Grade Libero, Marley!
Marley has been exceptional on the court with her amazing saves and consistent passing. She brings relentless effort every single match and is always willing to lay out and do whatever it takes for her team.
As one of our team captains, Marley leads by example. She communicates confidently, keeps her teammates organized, and stays positive in every situation. What stands out most is her ability to reset even after a mistake, she refreshes, refocuses, and bounces right back stronger.
We are incredibly proud of her leadership, toughness, and team-first mindset. Keep up the great work, Marley!
J.V: Kennedie Evans
Kennedie is new to our team this season, but you wouldn’t know it by the way she plays. Her hitting has been strong and confident, her passing continues to improve, and her serving has been phenomenal. She competes hard and brings great energy every time she steps on the court.
What makes Kennedie special is her willingness to learn and grow. She takes coaching seriously, pushes herself in practice, and continues to get better each week.
We are excited to see her development continue and can’t wait to watch her grow even more as the season goes on. Keep working, Kennedie!
HS Boys Basketball by Coach Bennett, Coach Cruthis, Coach McAllister
Varsity- DeVaughn Ware- has continued to work hard at being a leader on the court. He is among conference leaders in pts, rebounds and assists.
JV-Kaiden Wheeler- Kaiden has been working hard to improve as a post player. He had his best effort of the season at Bunker Hill in the JV game Monday night with 10pts and 6 rebounds.
HS Cheerleading
Addison is being named Feature Athlete for her positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to step into any position when needed. She picks up choreography quickly, is always eager to learn new skills, and takes coaching with maturity and focus. Addison is a true team player who supports those around her and consistently gives her best effort. We’re proud to recognize her dedication, coachability, and impact on our team.
