Please see the attached announcement regarding the LCUSD#9 Safe Routes To School Project Walk Audit, which is scheduled for one week from today (Thursday, May 7th). Students who live within walking distance are encouraged to walk home from school next Thursday. We'd also like to invite families, community members, teachers, and staff members to get some steps in while helping us in this important "walk audit," as an official kick off to our Safe Routes to School Project with the City of Lebanon and the Goetz Group LLC. Congratulations to our junior high track athletes who qualified for state this past weekend at the SIJHSAA regional at Breese Central this past Saturday.
8th grader Maverick Wilkins qualified by placing 2nd in the high jump, 2nd in the 400 and 2nd in the 100m hurdles.
8th grader Ava Garbe qualified by placing 2nd in the 800
Ava was also part of the 4x400 relay team that placed 2nd and qualified, including Holland Burress, Harper Burress and Gracelyn Trivett
They will run on May 9th at Murphysboro HS. Great job GREYHOUNDS!
Due to the current rain and the forecast for rain until 7:00 pm tonight. We are postponing tonight's baseball game at Arsenal Stadium to tomorrow at New Athens HS at 4:30. Tickets for tonight's game will be refunded by the Grizzlies. Our apologies for the short notice.
Seniors: Reminder- Decision Day is Friday. Wear your work, military or college gear Friday or get those photos sent to Mrs. Taylor now so they can be posted throughout the day on Friday!
All after school games and practices are canceled today. HS cheer tryouts will have a day added sometime next week. Coach Cruthis-Rhoad will let me know what days she has available and I will let everyone know asap
Reminder that high school cheer tryouts are this week: Mon, Wed, Thur from 3:30-5:30. Meet in the high school commons. Every athlete trying out must have a current physical on file with the school.
