Greyhound Spring Athlete Spotlight Baseball Freddy Durbin He has consistently worked extremely hard through practices. He has so far improved his batting average by 200 points and has been a team leader by setting a great example on the field. He stepped in to catch with no catching experience and never complained. He has done a great job at shortstop as well as pitching Jh Soccer Lucas Noud- Lucas is one of our team captains and unquestioned leader on defense. He takes control of the game and leads every deadball situation. He picked up his first goal on a penalty kick in his first game of the season. HS Track Kaiden Wheeler has done a good job of pushing himself in practice since the beginning and it is starting show with him. Ring one of the top 800 runners in our area. This weekend he won the 800 at a very competitive Wesclin meet with 14 other schools. His best time this season is a 2:08. Addison Durbin Addison has had a good start to the year in track. She has finished the last 2 meets in the top 3 in high jump with a personal best this weekend of 4'11. She is also done the same in the 400 with a season best of 1:05 as ell as anchoring the 4x400 relay where she has had some impressive splits and made up a lot of ground passing 2 runners at the East Alton Wood River meet. Keep up the hard work Kaiden and Addison JH track Stella Munton and Cheyenne Thurston have worked very hard this year and their time improvements in their events show it. This past week when the jh team was shorthanded, they both stepped into some events they hadn't regularly done, without any complaining, and did very well. Great job ladies!

2nd-4th grade Soccer Intramural sign-up and payment deadline is Monday, April 20. The dates are: April 21, 23, 28, 30, May 5 & 7. Cost is $35.00 for 6 sessions. They will be held after school until 4:15. Go to lcusd9.org, click on soccer intramurals to fill out the form. We are excited to announce that the 3rd Annual Lebanon Volleyball Camp will be held June 8–11 from 5:00–7:00 PM in the high school gym.

This camp is open to all students entering grades 5th–12th for the 2026–2027 school year. We also welcome participants from outside the Lebanon school district, so please feel free to share this opportunity with friends, family, or anyone interested in developing their volleyball skills this summer.

We are especially excited to share that we have partnered with the McKendree University Women’s Volleyball Team, whose players and coaches will be in attendance each day to assist with drills and provide valuable instruction and insight.

Last year, we welcomed over 30 campers, and we are looking forward to an even bigger and better experience this summer!

All students in grades 8 through 11 are invited to tryout for the high school cheerleading team. There will be 3 days of tryouts, April 27th, 29th and 30th. All athletes who tryout must have an updated physical on file at the school. Tryout times will be from 3:30-5:30 in the high school gym.
