Winter Sport Athletes of the Week for the 1st 2 weeks Nominated by their coaches JH Boys Basketball Amjad Adams- he is our team captain and really sets the tone everyday. He comes in with a positive attitude, ready to play and works hard at getting better. He recently scored 18 points in a win over Dupo Masen Davis- his attitude and strong personality are reasons why he is the team captain for the JV squad. His feisty and fierce attitude on the court stands out. He is a great young man all around. JH Girls Basketball Charlotte Ruth-She was chosen because she is always playing her hardest during the practices and games. She's a player who is always hustling for the ball and goes 100% with being asked. She is a very tough and aggressive player who continues to push herself everyday Harper Burress-She is a player who does what is asked of her without complaint. She has been very aggressive of the drive and works hard in both practices and games. She is very coachable and steps up to the challenges for her every time. JH Cheerleading Anissa Laktzian- she is our cheerleader with a heart of gold. She treats everyone with respect, is always polite and is a great team player. She is a back and a base in stunts and is incredible at it. She is willing to do anything asked of her and always gives it her all. This year, Anissa has really excelled in her jumps and especially her toe touch. Our team is thankful to Anissa as a part of it. Dakota Guyette- she is enjoyable to be around. She brings a smart, sarcastic and delightful personality to our team. She is one of our flyers and is always up to try new stunts. She is brave and courageous. She has shown excellent leadership skills while helping the JV members. Dakota is an amazing cheerleader and an important part of our team.

1st Annual Junior High JV Basketball Shootout tomorrow 11-16-24. Games start at 8:00 am. Your Lebanon JH JV Girls play at 6:00, JH JV Boys play at 7:30. Sponsored by the HS Boys Basketball team.

We finish our unit in Animal Allies, and had a guest visitor join us!!! The kids had a great time playing with one of Ms. Lewis's favorite friends!

Congratulations to our FFA varsity agronomy team for winning FIRST PLACE at tonight's section 22 agronomy competition held at Valmeyer high school. There were 14 schools who competed in tonight's competition. Our varsity team was Audrey Lamm, Collin Adams, Sophi Joshu, Savanah Pontious, and August Bonjour. Collin Adams placed 7th overall, Savanah placed 4th, and Audrey placed 1st!! Great job greyhounds!!!

​Our first Jr High dance of the school year is Friday, 11/15, from 6:30-8:30 in the Commons. This is a Formal dance sponsored by the NJHS organization. Tickets are currently on sale for $5 and must be purchased by Friday morning. There will be pizza and soda for sale that night as well as some other snacks/drinks available. Congratulations to senior Chloe Nordmann and her family as she signed with SWIC for collegiate softball. We are very proud of her hard work over the years to get this opportunity. Thank you to all of her coaches who have helped her achieve this goal.

Tis' the season of giving back to our community! FFA worked hard over the long weekend volunteering their time. Saturday & Sunday they set up Christmas lights at Horner Park and today they did yard work for those in need. Thank you to all the students who came out to lend a hand!

November is recognized in Illinois and across the United States as National Veterans and Military Families Month, honoring veterans and the families who support them for their sacrifices. In honor of Veterans Day (this Monday), we wanted to spotlight our very own Mr. Stark who is special to our greyhound family.

High school boys basketball will start this Monday. Practices will be from 3:00-5:00 Monday-Friday this week in the hs gym and 10:00-12:00 on Saturday. Reminder athlete must have a current physical, 5-12 athletic paperwork filled out on PowerSchool and $60 sports fee paid.

LES families!! Our November character trait focus is courage. Courage means to meet a challenge without giving into fear. Courage is the ability to do something difficult even when there is risk. We would love to have your help in teaching this trait at home.

A paraprofessional is a specially trained and certified educational worker who helps teachers and students in the classroom. They provide instructional support to teachers and students, helping them understand and learn different subjects like math, science, English, and social studies. Paraprofessionals are a valuable part of the education process. They help to ensure that instruction is efficient and effective by providing support in several ways. Their main responsibilities involve assisting with instruction, providing support during testing, working with students with special needs, managing classrooms, and generally bringing positive energy into the learning environment. Paraprofessionals may also help with other tasks such as grading papers, preparing materials for lessons, supervising students during lunch or recess, or providing guidance to students who need extra help. They are an important part of the school’s staff and play an essential role in helping create a safe learning environment for all students.
