JOB POSTING -PARAPROFESSIONALS Lebanon CUSD #9 is looking for paraprofessionals! If you have questions, please feel free to give us a call at 618-537-4611. What is a Paraprofessional? A paraprofessional is a specially trained and certified educational worker who helps teachers and students in the classroom. They provide instructional support to teachers and students, helping them understand and learn different subjects like math, science, English, and social studies. Paraprofessionals are a valuable part of the education process. They help to ensure that instruction is efficient and effective by providing support in several ways. Their main responsibilities involve assisting with instruction, providing support during testing, working with students with special needs, managing classrooms, and generally bringing positive energy into the learning environment. Paraprofessionals may also help with other tasks such as grading papers, preparing materials for lessons, supervising students during lunch or recess, or providing guidance to students who need extra help. They are an important part of the school’s staff and play an essential role in helping create a safe learning environment for all students.

Jr. High celebrated self-control during their end of the month assembly today. Students were recognized by their teachers, shared what self-control means to them, and competed in a house challenge. Congratulations to Marley Pier for being recognized as the Jr. High Student of the Month!

Junior High and High School students are allowed to wear Halloween costumes tomorrow as part of Red Ribbon Week dress-up days. Students need to avoid masks, full face paint, gore and any toy weapons.

Please mark your calendar. The fall high school sports(volleyball,soccer,cross country) recognition night will be on Wednesday Nov 20th at 6:30in the high school commons. The athletic boosters will provide finger foods and drinks. A form will be coming home to let us know how many people will attend from each family

Reminder: HS Cheerleading tryouts start today at 3:45 in the high school commons. All 9th-12th graders are able to tryout. Athletes must have a current athletic physical, all athletic paperwork filled out on power school ("5th-12th" athletic forms) and a $60 sports fee paid. Practice times will be 3:45-5:45 each day

Please be aware of the following November dates when all schools and offices will be closed.

We will be continuing our annual Halloween parade at 1:30 on Thursday. Classes will walk north on Monroe St, east on St. Louis St, and south on St. Clair St. until we reach back at the Jr/Sr High School.

LES Families! Halloween is this Thursday! It is asked that students please bring their Halloween costumes with them to school where they will change into them after lunch. Please remember no masks, gore, or weapons.

Reminder we will have our parent, player, coach meeting tonight for the high school boys basketball team and for the high school girls basketball co-op team with Wesclin at 7:30 in the high school commons at Lebanon.

The Lebanon HS Bowling Teams would like to thank everyone who participated in and sponsored our first 9-Pin Fundraiser. We hope that everyone enjoyed themselves as much as our bowlers did! Thank you so much for your support! We appreciate all of you!

Our high school cross country runners competed at Wesclin high school this morning in the IHSA Regional. Addison Durbin ran her best time of the year and just missed qualifying for sectionals by 1 spot, she ran 21:53.4 Keegan Brown ran a time of 24.22.3 Savanah Pontious ran a time of 26.41.4 Jayden Luna ran a time of 29.22.2 Good job girls
