Attention Lebanon Community - DONATE DONATE DONATE!
Lebanon CUSD #9 has registered to participate in the USAgain Earth Month Challenge National clothes and shoes collection contest. It is a great opportunity for our school as we can increase our quarterly earnings from the program, take this action in support of Earth Day and get competitive to win one of the national cash prizes that are being awarded to the schools that collect most during the 30-day push!
Our planet has finite resources and cannot support the linear consumption model that is extracting virgin resources to manufacture products that are only used once or twice before they are land-filled or incinerated. Instead, we need to encourage reuse and by hosting a TreeMachine on campus we are taking another step in that direction. USAgain plants a tree every time the bin is filled, which is the reason they refer to the bin on our campus as a TreeMachine!
Everyone is encouraged to participate. Together we can encourage a circular economy where products are reused to conserve limited resources. Every action helps! Not only can we do our part to help plant trees but also win the top prize which could go a long way to meet our needs.
Contest dates: April 1st - April 30th The ten (10) top collecting schools win cash prizes.

We need at least 20% of Lebanon School District parents to complete this survey in order for a parent supplement report to be generated. Right now we are still below that mark. Your participation in the parent portion of the survey will help us understand the conditions at your child's school and guide improvement. Your identity and survey responses will be kept completely confidential and will never be connected to you or your child.
The Parent Survey Supplement can be completed up until April 2nd. To take the survey please visit https://survey.5-essentials.org/Illinois/ and select the appropriate survey to begin.

Good Morning LES Families.
I need to send out a reminder about the safety protocols and procedures for our drop-off and pick-up times. As we have added more students and families, we understand that the wait time in the lines are going to increase a bit. I know that the increased waiting time will be somewhat of an inconvenience for you all. But please understand that the security and safety of all the students of LES is my number one priority and concern at all times. I am asking you all to please refrain from any activities that could possibly cause harm to other drivers, yourself, my staff members, and most of all, my students.
Please refrain from:
-Releasing students while in the line before your vehicle is in between the 2 orange cones.
-Pulling out of the line and around other vehicles that are still in the line. Allow a staff member to wave you forward and around if there is a hold-up in front of you.
-Talking on hand-held devices.
-Picking up your student at the back door if they will be walking.
Let me know if you have any questions. Thank you.

Greetings LES Families!
We have made it through another week and Spring Break is upon the horizon! Spring Break will be Thursday, April 1st through Monday, April 5th. Next week only being a three day work week for your students before that five day break.
Also, remember that in-person instruction will take place on all three days next week, Monday through Wednesday. This will be the first Wednesday of this '20-21 school year where students will be in-person. The staff is very excited about moving onto this next phase, bringing us even closer to normalcy of a regular school year.
That said, we would like to have a special dress day on Wednesday. We will call it "Zoom Day" dress. Dress business/ professional up top, relaxed/comfy/pajamas on the bottom! Not to be confused with the Joe Dirt mullet, "Business on the top, party in the back!" Can't wait to see everybody's Zoom meeting outfits!
Have a great weekend! Thank you, parents, for all that you do for LES and for being stakeholders that have an active role in the educational careers of your children!
