Junior High Bowlers: Hanks Bowl in Trenton on Tuesdays from 2-3. They offer two free games (not including shoe rental) everyday from 2-6pm during the summer. Coach Stark will be present on these dates: June 1, June 8, June 15, July 20, July 27, and August 3.

Today’s LHS baseball/softball games are rained out. Senior recognition will take place Tuesday, 6/1 at 4pm before the Red Bud games.

Greetings LES Families! Well we have finally made it! Tomorrow, May the 27th will be the final school day for your student(s) for the 2020-21 school year. Reminder that we will have the annual LES Fun Day tomorrow, which includes a quick parade that begins at 10:00 AM. At the conclusion of the parade we will return campus in order to continue our Fun Day activities. School will be dismissed at the regular time of 1:45 PM. Below is the route that the parade will be in case you would like to park and greet our crew along the way. Thank you. -Head north on Monroe -East on the brick street for 1 block -South on St. Clair -Head back to LES

Our sixth graders are working through the Laser Maze challenges using reasoning and planning skills. The students use use mirrors and beam-splitters to direct the laser through a series of challenging mazes and light up the target

LCUSD 9 is offering Educere online credit recovery coursework over the summer for high school students who need to catch up credits, and for junior high students who need to successfully complete classes to be promoted to the next grade level. The start date for summer credit recovery classes will be June 7th. Please fill out all requested information on this form. We will contact you with additional information regarding credit recovery in a few days. Attention to all LJHS and LHS students and families: Reminder that final exams are taking place this week from May 25th-27th. Due to the final exam schedule Wednesday and Thursday, all LJHS and LHS students will be dismissed from school at 11:05.

Our junior high students were given the opportunity to learn more about anatomy by dissecting frogs.

Our first graders are participating in relay races today. They are learning about the importance of supporting each other and contributing to the goals of the team.
