On Wednesday, April 13th, 9th and 10th grade students will be taking the PSAT tests, while 11th graders will be taking the SAT testing. Because these tests will be taking most of the day, and disrupt the entire class schedule for LHS, Seniors will not be required to attend school on Wednesday, April 13th.
Next week LJHS students will be taking the IAR Test (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday). In celebration of this opportunity for our students, we will be having a week of themed "dress days" to help us get ready for testing. Even though only 6th-8th grade students will be taking the IAR in our building, we are encouraging all students in grades 6-12 to participate.
Monday = Dress Like a Tourist (Effort will take you places)
Tuesday = Dress for Success (Your attitude will pay off)
Wednesday = Sweats Day (Don't sweat the tests)
Thursday = Comfy Clothes Day (Relax! Take your time)
Friday = Pajama Day (Get your rest to ace the tests)

On April 6th-8th, students in 6th-8th grades will be taking the IAR test. This test is federally mandated, and is an important measure of your students academic preparedness. It is very important that all students are in attendance for testing, and that they arrive to school on time, with the supplies that they need for the test. The test is administered online, so it is also very important that students come to school each day with their Chromebook fully charged for the day.
We will also be offering an exciting IAR performance incentive program for our students in order to encourage them to do their best during testing. We will be sharing our incentive program with our students soon!
