LCUSD #9 school community, As Covid numbers are moving in the right direction and vaccinations are in full go, we are currently looking at adding student in person time on Wednesdays. We know that there are several obstacles and challenges to balance in person instruction and continue to provide good remote instruction for our students. We are looking at resources to help us make this transition. Our 5 day student attendance plan will most likely have a similar daily schedule. We feel that now with many vaccinated and Covid numbers moving in a better direction that we could now maximize instruction time. We are still working out a few details and will take time to finalize decisions, while giving our school community time to plan. Please remain flexible as we look at options. We will communicate changes very soon. Thank you for your support.

For the last day of FFA week, students and faculty dressed like farmers and the agriculture classes participated in Farmer Olympic games! Congratulations to Horticulture for placing 1st place!

The students and staff at LES were honored to hear guest speaker Master Sergeant Kevin Gardner of Scoff Air Force Base give a brief history of African Americans in the military as part of our Black History Month celebration. A special thanks to PTO treasurer, LES parent and MSgt. Jason Esker for arranging this amazing opportunity. Thank you both for your service.
