Hi! The Martin Luthern King Society chapter at LHS is starting up again this year and we are hosting our first fundraiser on Monday 8/15 during open house in the JH/HS commons.
We will be hosting a kid's workshop! We will have coloring, crafting and a movie for kiddos, attended by members of our MLK Club.
Parents, you are welcome to come by with your littles after open house at LES or to have your kiddos hang out with us while you visit LJH/HS with your older kids.
We are welcoming donations to help fund our club activities this year.

Seniors and 8th graders will have their fall sport pictures taken in their uniform for the sports banners on Wednesday Aug 17th at 2:30. We do not have school that day so please make sure athletes arrive by 2:30 with their uniform and go to the high school library. Again this is for Seniors and 8th graders only
HS and JH Fall sport team photos will be taken at school on Thursday August 25th at 12:30. Please make sure that your athlete has their uniform that day. There will not be a retake date.
Voegele Photography will once again be taking our school and sport photos for this school year. We will send home a picture packet late next week so you can choose a package and send the form and payment with the athlete the day of pictures. Today's PD focused on various uses of technology to enhance instruction and improve student achievement.
Sixth grade students and new junior high students are invited to come tour the school and learn more about the junior high on Monday, August 15 from 4:00-5:00 pm.

JH Boys baseball team won their season opener on Tuesday with a 9-6 win over St Theresa of Belleville. Coach Schmitt's summary of the game:
The team played pretty well for it being our first game and with only having 1 week of practices. Deion Washington got the start on the mound and the win while recording 8 strikeouts. Landen Davis went 3-4 with 2 rbi's and Joseph Corbitt had double and 2 rbi's.

This is a reminder that the freshman students and all new high school students are invited to a kickoff event Friday morning at 10:00 in the high school commons.

It was great to see so many of our students today at the haircut and tennis shoe giveaway. Thank you to the business and organizations that helped make it a big success.
We welcomed Megan Wilhelm to our district today. She helped our elementary teachers create a plan for writing instruction to help our students grow as writers.

Reminder that you must log into your students power school account, click on forms on the left, choose the enrollment tab and scroll to the bottom and choose Lebanon Athletic Forms to fill out the athletic paperwork. Fee can be paid on myschoolbucks, in the high school office or at the first practice. Athletic physical can be downloaded on the powerschool site, or brought in to the high school office or to the 1st practice.

Due to the threat of possible storms and the high heat index, tonight's soccer camp is canceled. Coach Keepper will offer an extra day of camp on this Friday to make up for today's cancellation.
Friday will be K-4 5:30-6:30 and 5th-8th 5:30-7:00
