Kindergarten through 2nd grade students will be presenting DECEMBER NIGHTS, DECEMBER LIGHTS in the LES Gym on Wednesday, December 7th at 6:30pm. Students are to meet in their classrooms at 6:15 dressed in their best holiday attire.

JH Bowling Parent/Player/Coach meeting Monday Night November 28th at 7:00 in the Elementary Library. Remember to be able to tryout all athletes must have a current athletic physical, they must have all of the athletic paperwork filled out online(see the picture attached that has the instructions for power school and pay their athletic fee of $40(this can be paid in the high school office, at this meeting or paid online in the myschoolbucks app) JH boys will have their tryout on Dec 5th JH girls will have their tryout on Dec 8th Tryouts are held at the St Clair Bowling alley, all bowlers will ride the bus after school to the bowling alley for tryouts and ride the bus back to the school and will return between 5:30 and 6:00 Please contact coach Glenn Stark if you have any questions at gstark@lcusd9.org

LHS National Honor Society is hosting a Breakfast with Santa in the elementary school cafeteria on Saturday, December 3rd. There are two sessions: 9:00-10:00am and 10:00-11:00am. Various activities and breakfast will be provided. Tickets are $10 per family and may be purchased on My School Bucks under the school store option where you see Santa's picture! Tuskegee Airmen Scholarship - This is a $1,500 scholarship for high school seniors and based on academic performance, financial need, two themed essays, and returning the application before January 23, 2023. Congratulations to HS soccer head coach Cameran Keepper for being named the "Soccer Person of the Year" for Section 12 of the Illinois High School Soccer Coaches Association. He was nominated because of his diligent work over the years with our town youth soccer programs, getting a junior high program started at the school and for turning around a soccer program over the last 4 years that has gone from 1 win to 12 wins and a share of the conference championship this past season. LCUSD9 Families, Devices were sent home with all students this afternoon. We are expecting to be in school tomorrow, however, we want to make sure we have a plan, just in case. Again, we are fully expecting to be in school on campus tomorrow, but there is a small chance for snow so we want to be prepared. If there is inclement weather that warrants the calling of an E-Learning day, that will be communicated as soon as possible. Teachers will communicate expectations for the day to their students through a district provided platform.
