We are also looking for volunteers to help with the Greyhound Intramural Baseball/Softball activities in October.

Fall Picture Day will take place TOMORROW (Wednesday, September 1, 2021). All Pre-K through 12th grade students will take a photograph. Picture order forms were sent home. If you would like to order a specific package you must complete the order form in its entirety and have your student bring it, along with the payment. Your student will take the order form and payment with them to the photography session and give it directly to the photographer. Tomorrow is the last day to sign students up for September Greyhound Intramural Basketball at LES. If you still have not signed up your student, use the registration link below to do so. Intramurals begin on Tuesday, September 7th, and will be held after school on Tuesday and Thursday until 4:15.

The LCUSD #9 Mentoring Program kicked off this afternoon. The mentees were paired up with veteran teachers. They will work together for this school year.
Tonight’s home soccer game is canceled and no practice for soccer this evening. Soccer will go to Salem tomorrow night, bus time 4:00, game time 5:30. Weather permitting

Cahokia Conference Fall Sports Information
LCUSD #9: Hello. We have been notified that a JrHS/HS building student was confirmed Covid positive. The Health Department has been notified and we will continue to work with them and monitor the situation. All others identified from contact tracing will be contacted and quarantined. Please continue to communicate to your child the importance of social distancing, wearing masks properly and washing their hands. Also, if your child is not feeling well, is symptomatic and/or has been tested for Covid please stay at home until cleared to return to school. We will continue to be transparent and communicate building specific information in the future. We will also continue revisiting our safe procedures to maintain an optimal safe learning environment. We hope for the best but know this may happen in the future but all of us following safety procedures will reduce exposure. School WILL be in session as normal.

Tonight’s home volleyball game is canceled due to Patoka’s team being placed in quarantine today. We will attempt to reschedule this game at a later date. There will not be volleyball practice this evening either.

The Greyhound Intramural Sports Program is available to any student grade 1st - 4th. Intramurals will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school until 4:15.
