HS Boys and Girls Bowling bowl at St Clair Bowl vs Sparta at 3:00, bus 2:15

Tuesday Night
HS Boys Varsity defeated Mulberry Grove at home 60-57, they had lost to Mulberry Grove at the beginning of the season 64-44 so this was a nice win for the boys as they keep working hard to improve
JH Boys Basketball lost in the Freeburg tournament to Marissa by 9, they will play Thursday at Freeburg Elementary vs Okawville at 6:45
Reminder JH Bowling practice will start tomorrow. ALL bowlers not currently involved in a winter sport will go to practice. They will be bussed at the end of school to St Clair Bowl and will return at 5:30. To participate, all bowlers must have a current physical, $40 sports fee and paperwork filled our online.

Mrs. Schorfheide has a new office and a new phone extension. The new counselor office extension is 142.
The January jh bowling schedule is attached Jh bowling has practice this Thursday for all 5th graders and new bowlers ONLY
All other bowlers will begin Jan 10th unless they are still in a sport
Athletes must have a current physical, all athletic paperwork filled out on power school and their $40 sports fee paid in order to go to practice
Any athletes currently playing basketball or cheerleading are not allowed to go to practice till their season is complete. Also if an athlete quit during the basketball season or cheerleading they cannot go until the sport they quit is finished

The Jr. High Honor Society is hosting a dance on Friday, January 13 from 7-9 PM in the Commons. This will be a casual attire, but feel free to dress up for the theme (Hollywood). Tickets will go on sale next week. Please see the attached flyers for more information.

Happy New Year! We hope everyone is excited for the 2nd half of the school year! Just a reminder, tomorrow, Tuesday 3rd will be a Teacher Institute Day with NO student attendance. Students will return on Wednesday, January 4th. We are looking forward to the rest of the school year.

Miss Zylka just finished up eight weeks of student teaching in Mrs. Clemens’ 3rd grade. She joined us from McKendree University, where she graduated with her joint special education and elementary teacher degrees.



We have a great group of mentors who share their expertise and help our new teachers excel in the classroom.
