Congratulations to Senior Emily Nordmann and Sophomore Neela Missey for qualifying for the IHSA Bowling Sectional at Bel Air Bowl. Emily placed 8th overall and was the 2nd individual on a non-qualifying team and Neela placed 15th overall and was the 4th individual on a non-qualifying team.
Overall the team placed 5th, 1 spot shy of qualifying as a team for Sectionals.
Great job team and good luck to Neela and Emily next Saturday at the Belleville East IHSA Sectional.

Spring sports will be starting soon. This is a reminder to make sure your athlete has a current sports physical and all athletic paperwork turned in if they are going to participate in high school baseball, softball or track this spring.
We will have our parent/player coach meeting on Wednesday Feb 15th at 7:00 in the HS gym. Sports fee is $60

Congratulations to Blake Goetter & Gavin Peters for being Section 22 proficiency award winners! Agricultural Proficiency awards are based on a FFA member’s Supervised Agricultural Experience or Supervised Occupational Experience. They recognize individual skills and career-based competencies developed through multiple years of participation. Gavin placed first in the Landscape Management SAE area for his landscaping business. Blake placed first in the Manufacturing, Engineering, and Trades SOE area for the work he does on his race car. Both boys will move on to the District competition in March where they will have an opportunity to compete to make it to the State competition! Congrats boys and good luck at Districts!

We currently have an opening for a junior high track head coach position. Practices are after school till about 5:00. The season begins Tuesday March 13th and the Regional is Saturday April 29th. Candidates must posses a teaching certificate or be willing to get a coaching certification, pass a background check, get a physical and be available for practices and meets. Tonight's jh volleyball game at Bartelso is cancelled due to them not having school today. No make up date has been scheduled. However coach Derber will practice after school today in the Lebanon elementary gym from 3:30-5:30. Players can wear their uniforms for practice as many may not have practice clothes with them. Please contact coach Derber if you have any questions at lderber@lcusd9.org

Reminder we will have pictures taken tomorrow starting at 1:30 in the hs gym for jh bowling and jh volleyball teams. Make sure everyone brings their full uniform. 5th graders will be walked over to the high school by Mrs. Reinneck for pictures. Please send the order form with payment with your athlete.


Due to no school today, tonight’s athletic events and practices are canceled. We will post rescheduled dates as soon as possible.

Due to side roads and country roads being very icy and slick at 5 a.m. this morning, Lebanon CUSD9 will not be in session today, Monday, January 30. This will be a normal snow day and will be made up. Unfortunately, we were not able to send out devices and meals as required for an e-learning day! So enjoy your normal snow day. Please be safe.
