Open field for softball starts on Wednesday (7-8-20) from 9:00 am - 10:45 am. This will be for girls in the Lebanon School District that are entering 5th grade up through 8th grade this upcoming school year. Here are just a few things that will need to take place in order to be able to practice ... Athletes will be screened BEFORE practice ... temperature taken and questionnaire filled out. If you feel sick, please stay home. We can’t share equipment, (except softballs) they will be sanitized after practice. Bring your own water bottle and label it with your name. We won’t be using the dugout during these open fields. When you arrive please remember to keep 6 feet of distance between you and your teammates. Bring personal hand sanitizer, if possible. • There will be no shared athletic towels, clothing, shoes, gloves, face masks, helmets, bats, or catcher’s gear • When we meet in close proximity to talk please wear a mask. I’m sorry things have to be this way, but we need to protect each other.😊 We can still have fun! Lets make the best of this situation! Go Hounds!

Pre-Kindergarten Screenings Lebanon Elementary School 408 Mary Jane Lebanon, IL 62254 Lebanon Elementary School will conduct its annual pre-kindergarten screening for the 2020-2021 school year on August 5th and 6th. Appointments must be made in advance by emailing Mrs. Leslie Stief, EC/PreK Teacher, at LStrobel@LCUSD9.org. Appointments are available each day from 1:15-4:15. The screening is free and available to all preschool age children who will not be eligible to attend Kindergarten in the fall and will be three (3) years old on or before September 1, 2020. The screening lasts approximately one hour. Parents must bring a birth certificate from the county in which your child was born. The hospital announcement will not be accepted. You will be asked to complete a form covering the early development of your child. The school’s goal is to assist parents in making sure that their child will be ready for kindergarten and prepare them for future school experiences. The screening will cover areas of fine and gross motor skills, concepts, and communication as well as vision and hearing. Strengths and weaknesses will be identified in all of these areas and will be discussed with the parents at the end of the screening. In order to be eligible, you must participate in the screenings, so please email and make an appointment as soon as possible.

The Southern Illinois Junior High School Athletic Association has not made an official ruling on the level of athletic involvement for the 20-21 school year. They are hoping to release guidance later in July. As of right now there are no practices or tryouts for the Jr. High, and we will post here when coaches are holding practices and tryouts. Thank you for your patience as we strive to do our part to keep the Greyhound community healthy and well.

Hello. We hope everyone is having a safe and fun filled summer break. As you may have heard the state released information today for in-person instruction for the 2020-21 school year. The document was released to school districts and the public today so please be patient as the administrative team and staff sort through the 60 page guideline document for a safe return to school this August. We hope to release a solid in-person instruction/return to school plan by mid July. We will be working hard to incorporate all the safety guidelines to keep students and staff safe. Yearbook Signing: SOCIALLY DISTANCED EDITION We are excited to announce that the LEBANON SCHOOLS yearbook signing tradition is alive and it’s fully digital to suit our socially distanced students.
