Greetings District 9 Parents. A few reminders: - Gaiter masks are not to be worn by students. They should be wearing a face mask, per our district Return to Learn Policy. - Animals are not allowed on school property, except in the case of a service animal accompanying a student or other individual with a documented disability, per the District 9 Handbook. LES Parents- Please email Ann-Marie at amv@lcusd9.org with your child(ren)'s names and teachers if you plan to pick-up your students after school on a consistent basis. Hello. The Administration Team, School Board, Faculty and Staff want to thank parents and students for a wonderful 1st day of school. It feels great to get as close to back to normal as possible at this time. We appreciate everyone's efforts in making this another great school year! As we begin the school year please be patient as we retrain for student drop offs and pick ups, expedite our bus routes, optimize our technology and help with any other school start items. Lebanon HS/JrH student reminders for tomorrow: Doors open for students who are eating breakfast at 7:45 Students who are not eating should time their arrival around 8:00. 1st Hour class begins at 8:15. All students should enter the building through the Commons entrance. Students should have their cell phones put away and off during school hours. Students are required to wear masks. In order to avoid an unexcused absence, a parent/guardian must call and notify the school that a student is going to be absent from school by 9:00 AM daily. Students should not wear the following items to school: hats, headwear, or hoods pajamas and/or slippers clothing that exposes the midriff clothing with revealing rips/holes Please see the LHS and LJHS Handbooks on the district website for more information.

Correction! Open House is this evening from 5:00 - 6:30. Tonight, while at Open House, 6th-12th grade students will have the opportunity to pick up their District 9 Chromebooks. Chromebooks will be available for pickup in the LHS/LJHS Library from 4:00 - 6:30 this evening. See you soon!!

Hello. We are so excited to be returning back to school. Just a reminder, tomorrow, Monday, August 16th is a full day Teachers’ Institute Day for our staff, followed by our Open House from 5:00-6:30pm. Our first student attendance day will be Tuesday the 17th. Building principals will be sending specific information out concerning our procedures. Also, visit our district web page for other Covid information, building procedures and other return to school information. As you know we are required to wear face masks as we return to school. Fortunately, we will be in school, have full days and be back to normal as much as possible. We will try to work towards less mitigation but at this time please remain flexible. We will continue to monitor state and federal mandates as we move through the school year. We are so excited to be seeing each student and look forward to a much needed normal school year. Amendment to LES Open House session times: 5:00-5:30- Primary families in the gym. Intermediate families meeting with teachers in the classrooms. 5:30-5:35- Passing time 5:35-6:05- Intermediate families in the gym. Primary families meeting with teachers in the classrooms. 6:05-6:30- Families & students can move about between campuses and meet freely with other teachers, admin, and staff members.

Today’s junior high baseball and softball games are postponed till tomorrow. Baseball and softball will play at 12 o’clock tomorrow at new Athens high school and the bus will leave at 10 o’clock

LHS Commons Doors will open for entry at 4:45. All visitors should enter through the LHS Commons doors. Guests will travel through their student's daily classroom schedule period to period. When entering the building, please go to your student's 1st Hour classroom. 1st Hour: 5:00-5:08 2nd Hour: 5:11-5:19 3rd Hour: 5:22-5:30 4th Hour: 5:33-5:41 5th Hour: 5:44-5:52 6th Hour: 5:55-6:03 7th Hour: 6:06-6:14 Remaining time is to allow parents and students to visit teachers/Band/classrooms for extra questions/information, try out lockers/combinations, etc.

The JH Baseball and Softball games scheduled to be played at New Athens High School tomorrow at 4:30 in the Marissa/New Athens Tournament have been moved to Friday at 4:30 at New Athens due to the anticipated heat index to tomorrow. Good luck to both teams!

Good morning! Just a reminder that Lebanon High School and Junior High will be having 6th grade/new JrH student orientation on Thursday, August 12th from 10:00-11:00. 9th grade/new LHS student orientation will take place on August 12th from 11:00-12:00. All participants should enter the building through the Commons Entrance.
