The Environmental Science and Biology Classes went to Horner Park on Wednesday for a nature study. They completed a leaf study and analyzed soil and water samples.

Good evening. As the school year comes to a close we have a few new offerings to help our students. Over the summer we have partnered with Educere, a third party education platform for all students grades K-12 that will help us with several options. First, we will be utilizing Educere Summer Credit Recovery for all students interested in completing make up courses. Additionally, we will be using Educere as a “Boost” program for those who are interested in building upon academic skills. Finally, when we return in the Fall for our 2021-2022 school year our tentative plan is to go back to our normal school schedule prior to the Covid Pandemic. We will be using Educere as our students’ remote option. Each building Principal will be putting out more information concerning credit recovery and summer boost programs. We hope that those who need additional services will take full advantage of these programs. There are student fees for initial sign ups, but for students that successful complete/pass credit recovery and/or Summer Boost Programs, the district will pay all fees and waive any cost to students. This is Lebanon CUSD9’s commitment to provide our school community extra help and support. Thank you! Mr. Keeney

Congrats to our Track team: From Coach Benjamin Richter: EAWR 5-1-21 Alton (Marquette), Belleville (Althoff), Centralia (CORL), Metro-East Lutheran, Lebanon, Madison, Waterloo (Gibault), East Alton-W.R. Today was a very fun and exciting day for our team! We finished 5th of 8 with our 6 athletes. Runners had a hard workout on Thursday and still came back today with strong showings. Throwers competed in the most challenging field of athletes we have seen yet. In the throws, Luke brought home 2 first place medals with some very solid throws. Aiden Wright threw PRs in both discus and shot put! On the track, Marquis Pritchett had an absolutely phenomenal showing. He claimed 1st in the 200 meter dash with a time of 24.2 and 2nd in the 100 with 11.2. Colin Berry captured 5th in the 400 and came back to finish top 10 in the 200.
