Congratulations to Zander DeMello who just jumped a personal best 18'1 1/2 inches at the state track meet this morning in the long jump where he placed 2nd over all! He also jumped 5'4 in the high jump this morning placing him in a tie for 5th place! Great job so far today Greyhounds!

Congratulations to our high school girls track team! They placed 2nd yesterday as a team with 97 points and Dupo won the conference track meet with 150 pts. That is the 2nd most points scored at the Conference meet in the last 14 years.

Earlier this week, LES welcomed Bob Tarter from Tennessee with Nhecm:Animalogy to share "Tales and Tails" with us. He brought several different animals for us to view and he shared the purpose of their tails in their habitat. We learned many new terms that day. School District Lebanon CUSD #9 Board Member Vacancy
Lebanon CUSD #9 is accepting applications to fill a vacancy resulting from a resignation. The term will be from the date of appointment through April 2029 elections.
At LCUSD #9, we believe that education should take place in a fully inclusive environment with equal opportunities for all students and promote high expectations and academic success. This success will be accomplished by the dedicated staff which provides 21st Century skills through academics, social and emotional learning, and physical and multicultural skills.
Applicants for the School Board vacancy must be, on the date of election or appointment:
+ a United States Citizen
+ at least 18 years of age
+ a registered voter
+ a resident of Illinois and the District for at least one year immediately preceding the
election.
For at least one year immediately preceding the appointment, a School Board Member must:
+ Be a registered voter.
+ Not be a child sex offender.
+ Not hold another incompatible public office.
+ Not have a prohibited interest in any contract with the District.
+ Not hold certain types of prohibited State or federal employment.
Applicants should show familiarity with the Board's policies regarding general duties and responsibilities of a School Board and a School Board member, including fiduciary responsibilities, conflict of interest, ethics and gift ban. The Board's policies are available on the District website > Documents/Forms > Board of Education > Board Policies.
