Good evening! Below is the link to sign your student up for the Greyhound Baseball/Softball Intramurals that will be held in October. All Intramural offerings will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school until 4:15. Intramural Baseball/Softball will begin on Tuesday, October 5th. A $25 participation fee will be charged per student. Any student in 1st-4th grade can participate. We can not offer these events for our students without help from our parents! Good afternoon! A reminder that Greyhound Intramural Basketball ends at 4:15 today. Students who are being picked up by a parent/guardian should be picked up in the back of LES at 4:15. Please wait in your vehicle until students leave the gym. Have a great evening!

Greetings LES Families. We are beginning to notice an unsafe trend in regards to the morning drop-off routine. I would like to give a reminder that our arrival and dismissal times and procedures have been posted and communicated with all stakeholders before the school year began. This is a reminder that students should not walk to or be dropped off on school grounds before there is proper supervision there for them. The district is not liable for any actions, accidents, or situations that occur before the times that supervision is present. If you are in need of supervision for your child prior to the times that supervision is outside, you can inquire with the main office about the Before Care Program. Also, remember that if you are dropping your student off that you must stay in your vehicle and circle around the parking lot following the directives of the drop-off process. Please do not park in the staff parking lot and disembark from your vehicle. Lastly, once you get to the unloading zone, please have your student(s) ready to unload as quick as possible. Be considerate of others trying to unload their students and get to their next scheduled destinations on time. Morning Entry Times: 7:45 AM: Bus-riders allowed entry 7:55 AM: Students eating breakfast will be allowed entry 8:15 AM: Remaining walkers & car riders allowed entry

Greyhound Intramurals is in need of more volunteers to assist with the basketball program starting next week. If you are able to help, please contact the district office by email at lhardy@lcusd9.org. We are also looking for volunteers to help with the Greyhound Intramural Baseball/Softball activities in October.

Fall Picture Day will take place TOMORROW (Wednesday, September 1, 2021). All Pre-K through 12th grade students will take a photograph. Picture order forms were sent home. If you would like to order a specific package you must complete the order form in its entirety and have your student bring it, along with the payment. Your student will take the order form and payment with them to the photography session and give it directly to the photographer. If you have any questions about this process you can contact the main office. Thank you.

The LCUSD #9 Mentoring Program kicked off this afternoon. The mentees were paired up with veteran teachers. They will work together for this school year.

Tonight’s home soccer game is canceled and no practice for soccer this evening. Soccer will go to Salem tomorrow night, bus time 4:00, game time 5:30. Weather permitting

Jh baseball practice is canceled today. JH softball will practice today till 5:00 in the hs gym. Coach Lori Reinneck will go over to the grade school and pick up 5th graders at the end of school
