Current dental exams are required for Kindergarten, 2nd, 6th, and 9th grades. This exam satisfies that requirement. Please note: any student, in any grade, is able to utilize this clinic. Athletic changes for this week Today- HS bowling at Mater Dei canceled Today HS Boys Basketball at Mulberry Grove rescheduled to Feb 9th Today- JH girls home game 8th grade night, only 1 game at 6:00 in HS gym Wednesday- HS girls basketball home game with Bunker Hill-postponed. Wednesday-JH girls will play Carlyle home 5:00 Thursday- HS Girls home game with Valmeyer postponed

Lebanon Junior High volleyball will start on January 10 with open gym workouts for all non-basketball players. We will workout in the elementary gym from 5:00-7:00pm Monday-Friday. Please make sure all forms and physicals are in the office before Monday, January 10 if you wish to participate. You will need a water bottle with your name on it, knee pads, and a mask. I look forward to working with you this volleyball season.

This is a reminder that the handbook policy states that all second semester schedule changes had to be completed by the end of the day on Friday, December 17. Changes will not be made to schedules at this time.

Tomorrow's high school boys basketball game at Mulberry Grove has been move to Wednesday February 9th at 6:00. HS boys will practice tomorrow in the grade school gym from 3:30-5:30

Thursday January 6th we will have our parent/player/coach meeting for girls junior high volleyball at 7:00 in the Lebanon elementary gym. 5th thru 8th grade girls are eligible to tryout. In order to tryout, all athletes must have a current physical on file, and all athletic paperwork filled out and turned in to be able to participate in tryouts. Athletic Paperwork can be picked up in the high school office and the elementary office. It can also be filled out at the meeting on Thursday and turned in to the athletic director that night. Practices will begin Jan 10th, girls currently cheerleading or playing basketball must attend their current sport practices/games and then they can go to any volleyball practices that do not conflict. Hello! We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday break. Just a reminder that tomorrow, Monday, January 3rd we have a Teacher Institute Day. Students will then return to school on Tuesday, January 4th. We will be returning with our normal student schedule for the 2nd semester beginning Tuesday. We will continue with our daily times as we did prior to the Christmas Break. We will continue to monitor Covid Issues and make any changes in the future if needed, but until then, we will be back to normal instruction and schedules. Make it a great 2nd semester! Mr. Keeney

The jh girls basketball game that was canceled last night, will be made up on Tuesday Jan 4th at 6:00 in the hs gym.  We will play 2 games and have our 8th grade night that night. Also the girls will play in the 1st round of the SIJHSAA Regional on Wednesday Jan 12th at 6:00 at O'Fallon St Clare Catholic School

Earlier today Illinois School Districts as well as LCUSD#9 were made aware of a disturbing trend that has emerged on TikTok which is being viewed as a ‘national threat’ to schools across the United States on December 17, 2021. The unconfirmed rumor basically says that there will be an array of school shootings across the US on December 17, 2021. The trend has been discussed extensively on TikTok. The origin of the rumor is not known. However, an increasing number of people are sharing it across multiple social media platforms to create awareness about the same. The Illinois State Police and our local law enforcement currently have no specific information concerning any threats or attacks planned at Illinois schools. Law enforcement and school officials will be vigilant and I encourage everyone to report all suspicious behavior immediately to school officials and/or law enforcement. Hello. We have been notified that 1 JrHS school student was confirmed Covid positive. The Health Department has been notified and we will continue to work with them and monitor the situation. All others identified from contact tracing will be contacted and quarantined. Please continue to communicate to your child the importance of social distancing, wearing masks properly and washing their hands. Also, if your child is not feeling well, is symptomatic and/or has been tested for Covid please stay at home until cleared to return to school. We will continue to be transparent and communicate building specific information in the future. We will also continue revisiting our safe procedures to maintain an optimal safe learning environment. We hope for the best but know this may happen in the future but all of us following safety procedures will reduce exposure. School WILL be in session as normal but mitigation recommendations from health department is a possibility.

Tomorrow night's JH girls home basketball game will start at 5:30 and be played in the elementary gym. We will only play 1 game due to low numbers this week due to illness. We will still have our 8th grade night and recognize 8th grader Takira Johnson before the game. Come out and support your Greyhounds

LHS/LJHS First Semester Final Exam Schedule: Dec 15 (tomorrow) 1st hour: 8:15-9:35 2nd hour: 9:40-11:00 3rd hour: 11:05-12:25 Dec 16 4th hour: 8:15-9:35 5th hour: 9:40-11:00 Makeup Exams: 11:05-12:25 Dec 17 6th hour: 8:15-9:35 7th hour: 9:40-11:00 Makeup Exams: 11:05-12:25 Jr High Students will dismiss with HS students at 12:25 on the 15th, and at 11:00 the next two days. We will give bag lunches to any students who want them as they leave for the day.
