Her eight-day space flight aboard the space shuttle Endeavour in 1992 established Jemison as the United States' first female African-American space traveler. LEBANON JUNIOR HIGH BOWLING - SEASON INFO F You must have all paperwork, physical and fees paid to practice or bowl Regional (Varsity) team will have practices 2, 4, 9, 11 March All other bowlers have practice 16 and 18 March Season schedule (and full practice schedule) will be released first week of March Bus leaves high school parking lot at 3:00 for practices We leave St. Clair Bowl at 5:05 to come back to school If you have equipment, it may be stored in the high school Other than school athletic fees - bowling is no cost (shoe rental included) You will need a black pair of pants (no strings, yoga pants, or jeans) for matches School approved clothing is OK for practices (no hats) Parents MAY drive you to and/or from practices - HOWEVER I need to know by noon if you will NOT be on the bus For EVERYONE'S SAFETY: If you become ill, DO NOT attend practice or a match until you are cleared by the school nurse! Today is Monday, February 22nd, 2021 This day in history:1903 Due to drought, the US side of Niagara Falls ran short of water.   Historical figure spotlight: Sojourner Truth traveled from place to place and spoke out against enslaving people and for women’s rights. Touring the country, she challenged many people’s false beliefs about race and gender. Even though she couldn’t read or write, her thrilling speeches won her the respect of many educated people fighting for the rights of Black people and women. That included President Abraham Lincoln, who met with her at the White House in 1864.   All high school students should have filled out a spring athletics survey in your homeroom class.
