Love is important and in times when you cannot love someone practice kind words, understanding, or walking away. Respect what you do not know about others and be kind! You do not know what they are dealing with, where they have been, or what their life is like. Never ever encourage self harm!

The elementary students are learning about Black History month in the library time with me this week. The younger grades read, “All Because You Matter”, the middle grades read “The ABC’s of Black History” and the 4th and 5th grade were read a poem, shown Black artists graffiti art and either wrote a poem or created their own graffiti art. I have created a Black History wall in the commons and there are trivia questions being asked for a chance to win a DQ gift card for the high school and junior high.
