
We honored our 8th graders for cheerleading, boys basketball and girls basketball this past week. Here are some pictures of the groups

Any high school girls that are interested in playing softball, Coach Cummings is going to start conditioning this coming Saturday Jan 21st at 8 am- 10 am in the hs weight room.
And Sunday Jan 22nd she will have open gym in the hs gym from 3pm-5pm
Athletes must have a current physical on file with the school to participate

Congratulations to junior Drew Horn for advancing to the IHSA State Bowling Sectionals in Collinsville at Camelot Bowl next Saturday January 21st.
At Salem Drew bowled 1174 for 6 games and placed 5th as an advancing individual not on an advancing team.
The boys team placed 12th out of 16 teams
Great job Drew and coaches!

Reminder that jh volleyball tryouts will start tomorrow(Tuesday Jan 17th)in the elementary gym from 3:30-5:30.
Athletes must have a current physical, online paperwork filled out in the parents power school portal and pay their $40 sports fee either in the myschoolbucks app or in the high school office.

We held our annual Spelling Bee this morning at LES. Congratulations to the winner James Kruse and our runner up Lilyana Wiley, both third graders! Thank you to Mrs. Clemens for chairing the Spelling Bee Committee and all the other staff members who volunteered to help.

We will have our parent/player/coach meeting for Junior High Volleyball this Thursday Jan 12th at 6:30 in the high school commons/cafeteria. We ask anyone who will have their daughter trying out for volleyball to attend. Parents can pick up schedules and pay the $40 sports fee that evening also if they have not already done it so.
Reminder that tryouts will start Tuesday January 17th 3:30-5:30 in the grade school gym and athletes must have a current physical and their athletic paperwork filled out online in power school to tryout.

Attention all 1st-4th grade students! Sign ups are open now for our Mini Cheer Intramurals! This will be held in the High School Commons. Pick will be at 4:15 behind the High School at the Commons Entrance (come to the doors, please). The dates are as follows: Tuesday, Jan. 31, Thursday, Feb. 2, Tuesday, Feb. 7, and Thursday, Feb. 9 (these are all after school until 4:15). On Friday, Feb. 10, the participants will perform at half-time of the HS Boys Basketball game. The participants can cheer with the high school cheer squad from the bleachers as well. Game time is 6:00. Payment will need to be made by Tuesday, Jan. 24. You can pay on on myschoolbucks OR send in a $15 check or $15 cash in an envelope marked Mini Cheer Intramurals with your child's name.
