
The Anatomy & Physiology class along with the Forensic Science class went on a field trip today to Logan Chiropractic School. The classes got to take a look inside the cadaver lab!


There will be no school on Monday, March 6 to commemorate and celebrate the birthday of Casimir Pulaski.


On Sunday, the MLK Club spent the morning volunteering at the Metro East Humane Society. So manu puppies and kitties were petted and loved!

On Thursday, students participated in the annual farmer olympic games to celebrate FFA week. The dress up theme of the day was America day! On Friday, FFA members took a field trip to the science center to visit the agriculture building and stopped at Imos pizza for lunch. The dress up theme for the day was FFA apparel or blue and gold day!











Reminder high school softball practice will start Monday Feb 27th at 3:30. Players need to bring clothes for inside practice or outside practice.

High school students have two college fairs happening near us. Southwestern Illinois College will host their annual college fair on February 26 from 1:00 pm-3:00 pm in the Main Complex, Varsity Gym, register at www.strivefair.com. Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville is hosting a college fair on Wednesday, March 22 from 6:00 pm-7:30 pm at the Morris University Center. Register at www.strivefair.com. Both events will have in-state and out-of-state colleges and universities. All high school students are welcome to attend.

JH Volleyball is home tonight vs Bartelso but it is a 5:00 start in the high school gym
JH Bowling is home vs O'Fallon at St Clair Bowl at 3:45, bus time is 3:15
We will have our 8th grade recognition for JH Bowling and JH Volleyball next Friday March 3rd just before the 8th grade volleyball game. There will only be a "C" team game and an 8th grade game that night vs St Libory. So 8th grade night will be sometime between 4:30 and 5:00.
JH Track and JH Soccer Parent/Player/Coach meeting will be Tuesday March 7th at 7:00 in the HS gym
JH Track practice will start Monday March 13th from 3:30-5:00, JH Soccer practice will start March 20th time is TBA

Today we celebrated FFA week by honoring our Greenhand members. Greenhand members are first year high school FFA members. They got to paint their hands green and put their handprint and the year on a cabinet in the Ag. room. We also celebrated by showing our appreciation for our teachers and staff by handing out cow FFA cookies. The dress up theme for the day was dress like Ms. Wasser.

To kick off National FFA week, Collin Adams, Robert Zimmerman, & Tyler Hohrein competed in the Meat Evaluation Competition on Saturday. The boys placed 6th in our section. Today we celebrated FFA week by watching an agricultural related movie in Ms. Wasser's class and by dressing up like Joe Dirt!

Thanks to Marsha Shirley and all our amazing staff who helped with our Donuts with Dads event this morning. We enjoyed seeing everyone.








Mrs. Jackson's film studies class worked on making live-action short films. They learned about writing a script and developing it into a short screenplay utilizing storyboards to help plan their productions. They created sets and chose locations and actors. Finally they learned about post-production skills including editing, adding music and credits. Meet some of our winners!

High school boys basketball starts IHSA Regional play on this Saturday Feb 18th at 4:00 vs Waterloo Gibault at Waterloo Gibault, bus time is 2:15
High school boys and girls track will have their 1st practice on Tuesday Feb 21st after school. Athletes need to have a current physical, all athletic paperwork turned in to be able to practice. $60 sports fee must be paid by March 1st
High school boys baseball and high school girls softball will start practice on Monday Feb 27th after school. Practice schedules are available in the high school office. If practice must be in the gym during the first week due to weather, softball will be from 3:30-5:30 and baseball will be from 5:30-7:30
Junior high boys and girls track and Junior high soccer will have a parent, coach meeting on Tuesday March 7th at 7:00
