This upcoming week, June 20th thru June 25th, we have some changes for camps/open fields due to heat index forecasts and facility availability.
Soccer camp is postponed because of the forecasted high heat index to the first week of August (Aug 1,2,3,4) at the same times K-4 5:30-6:30 and 5th-8th 5:30-7:00. Cost is $50. Please remember to pay through my school bucks app or to pay with check or cash on the first day in order for your son or daughter to participate. Campers can still sign up on the first day of camp, but will not receive a t-shirt. If you cannot make it to the rescheduled date and have already paid, please email me at ccruthis@lcusd9.org and we will get your camp fee returned.
Cheer Camp June 20,21,22,27,28,29 from 3:30-5:00 will now be in the HS gym instead of the commons.
High School softball practices are canceled for this upcoming week, they will be Monday June 27th from 6-7:30pm and Thursday June 30th from 10am-12pm
Good afternoon Greyhounds! Registration opened up for the 2022-23 school year today. You can find the link on our school website -www.lcusd9.org. All new and returning students will need to register. Registration will take place online until June 30. Online registration can only be done on a laptop or desk top computer. Cell phones will not work. Both offices will have chromebooks set up for those who need access to a computer. Please go online and complete all needed information. We are very excited for the upcoming school year! Hello Lebanon CUSD9 School Community. It’s that time of year again for 2022-2023 online school registration. Registration will open tomorrow, June 15 at Noon. Registration will continue from a June 15-June 30. Please go online and finish all needed information. All information is located on our district web site homepage. Online Registration can only be done on a lap top or desk top, no smartphone registration access. We will have Chromebook stations available at the school buildings if anyone needs computer accessibility. We are so excited for the upcoming school year! Please go online and complete all needed information beginning at Noon, tomorrow, June 15th.

We will give daily updates for camps and open gyms /fields for this week. Next week’s forecast is also concerning. We will make a decision regarding postponing/canceling or adjusting times or places about next week by this Friday so parents can plan accordingly.

Due to high temps and heat warnings this week, we have made the following changes for softball and baseball camps this week
Softball will move to 8am-10am Monday thru Thursday
Baseball will remain at the same time for Tuesday but will move into the high school gym so players need to make sure they have tennis shoes for inside
Reminder to bring plenty of water/Gatorade, coaches will closely be monitoring our athletes during camp for any signs of heat related issues.

Attention girls wanting to play high school softball, Coach Cummings and Coach Edison will be having workouts on the field starting June 20th.
They will have workouts on Monday evenings from 6:00-7:30 pm and Thursday mornings from 10am-12pm.
Everyone is invited to come even if they have never played or sat out a year or two.
Again the first Monday will be June 20th that this will start.

Reminder that JH boys basketball will have an open gym tomorrow (Thursday June 9th)from 8:30am-10:00am in the high school gym for any boy entering 5th grade through 8th grade next year.
For anyone interested in high school soccer next year, come out to the high school soccer field on Tuesday June 14th and Thursday June 16th for workouts from 5:00-6:30. We will likely go week to week on dates and times depending on player availability. If you cannot attend, please reach out to Coach Keepper to let him know your interested in playing this fall. Sing 2 will be shown at Horner Park on Friday night at roughly 8:30pm. We plan to have movie screen just north of blue concession stand, bathrooms are near by. The event will be rescheduled for wind or rain.

For those interested in playing high school volleyball this fall, Marsha Shirley will be offering team workouts starting June 7th from 8:00 AM-9:30 AM in the HS gym. She is organizing workouts until we are able to hire a head coach for next season. Workouts will be every Tuesday and Thursday of June( June 7, 9, 14, 16, 21, 23, 28, 30) from 8:00 AM-9:30 AM in the HS Gym.

Summer Credit Recovery Information for 6th-12th graders: LCUSD 9 is offering online credit recovery coursework over the summer for high school students who need to catch up credits, and also for junior high students who need to successfully complete classes to be promoted to the next grade level, or if you have an LHS student would like to pursue additional coursework to add to their transcript. The start date for summer credit recovery classes will be June 13th. Reminder that tomorrow is the deadline to sign up for our various summer athletic camps. If you can’t pay by tomorrow, you can still sign your kids up. We just need to have payment the day camp starts. We have about 60 kids so far, our goal was 75-100, common get your kids off the couch and out from in front of the tv and video games. Even if they have never played, this is a great way to try something new for a few days! This is how we build future Greyhounds!
