This Thursday Aug 22nd, our high school fall sports teams will take their pictures starting at 3:00. This will include cross country, volleyball and soccer. On Saturday Aug 24th at 2:30, seniors can have fancy "smoke" pictures taken by SMK Designs for $75 in the hs gym, flyers were sent home with seniors today.

The first week was a huge success. Schedule changes have been made and students will be ready to start their educational journey this week. Josten’s will be here this Friday, August 21st in the morning to deliver packets to sophomore, junior and senior students.

Your lady Greyhounds are off to a great start on the season! We defeated O'Fallon St. Clare last Friday 11-3. We also came from behind Monday to defeat Maryville Christian 10-5. Way to go Hounds! Keep up the hard work!

HS fall sport practices start tomorrow. Athletes must have a current physical, all athletic paperwork completed on power school and their $60 sports fee paid on the myschoolbucks
Soccer practice 3:30-6:00
Volleyball practice 6:30-8:00 in the elementary gym
Cross Country practice 3:30-4:45 at hs track
On our last day of Agriculture Enrichment, we visited Marcoot Jersey Creamery. We learned how they care for their dairy cows and how they make their delicious cheese and ice cream. We even got to sample some of their cheese and ice cream! This was such a fun week filled with lots of learning and adventures!
It wouldn't be Agriculture Enrichment if we didn't get our hands a little dirty!! On day 4, we traveled to the St. Louis Science Center where we visited the GROW Exhibit. We learned about soil composition and how to grow healthy plants. We also got to make mud pies, check out their farming equipment, and practice milking a cow.
We knew day 3 of Agriculture Enrichment was going to be great when we checked the forecast. We had a beautiful day filled with lots of new memories made. Today we visited Rainbow Ranch where cowboy Al taught us about his animals. He taught us all about how they care for their livestock and their exotic animals. Students pushed themselves outside of their comfort zones and even fed some of the animals.

Day 2 of Agriculture Enrichment! Today Mason Shirley from the Mascoutah Boy Scouts Troop gave a presentation on conserving our natural resources. Then we headed to Carlyle Lake where a park ranger gave us a dam tour and they earned their junior ranger badge. They learned about the history of Carlyle Lake and water/wildlife conservation. After the dam tour, Mason Shirley led the students on a short hike and we ended our visit with a scavenger hunt at the visitors center.
Reminder!!! High School Fall Sports (Volleyball, Boys Soccer and Coed Cross Country) Parent Player Coach meeting tonight in the Elementary Gym at 6:00. We need all parents/players to attend so that we can go over important information and also know our numbers for our upcoming seasons.
Attention parents/guardians of our ELEMENTARY students: There will be a time change on our WEDNESDAY dismissals only. Every Wednesday, for our PLC dismissals, LES will be dismissed at 1:35 p.m. The school day will begin at 8:05 and dismiss at 1:35 p.m. This will start on August 14. JrH and HS dismissal time on Wednesdays will remain the same with dismissal at 1:15 p.m.
