Today is Thursday, January 21st, 2021 This Day in History: 1930 Boston Bruins become first team in NHL history to score 100 goals in a season Interesting fact: In 1828, pioneer Methodists founded Lebanon Seminary, which in 1830 was renamed McKendree College. Today, as McKendree University, it is Illinois’ oldest college Attention Seniors and Parents of Seniors! Feb 12 is the deadline to purchase a Senior Recognition Ad and it is also the last day to submit 4 Senior Photos for the yearbook. A reminder from District 9: Beginning February 1st we will be combining "A" and "B" days, thus allowing 4 days of attendance for ALL students. We will continue the same daily time schedules and days of in person instruction on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; with full remote on Wednesdays for all students. All in-person students will be enrolled automatically into 4 day attendance, and current remote learners will be enrolled as remote students. If you want to change your student(s) status, you must contact the office by this Friday, January 22nd at Noon.

We will be keeping our current daily attendance schedule throughout the month of January. Beginning February 1st we will be combining "A" and "B" days, thus allowing 4 days of attendance for ALL students. We will continue the same daily time schedules and days of in person instruction on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; with full remote on Wednesdays for all students. We will try to social distance as best as possible, but this will be more challenging with higher student numbers. We know that in order to stay open our staff must social distance; where as some students may not be able to social distance. Please keep this in mind when choosing in person or remote. Current in person students will be enrolled automatically into 4 day attendance as well as remote students will remain remote. If you want to change please contact your building principals by this Friday at Noon. Please remain flexible as these plans may change at any time.

Picture retakes will take place on Tuesday 01/26 and Thursday 01/28. Be on the lookout for more information in the coming days.

Attention LHS/LJHS students: Picture retake forms are in the office. Any student who wants to get a picture retake needs to stop in and get one filled out. Picture retakes are next week (January 26th and January 28th) at 8:00 AM in the library.

Just a reminder to all LHS/LJHS students...Your teachers have daily office hours from 1:30-3:00 to assist you with answering questions about daily assignments, classroom policies, etc. Make sure to take advantage of these office hours and contact your teachers for help. On September 20, 1958, King was in Harlem signing copies of his new book, when he was stabbed with a letter opener.
