Mr Lamar’s drivers ed students held a question answer session with Illinois State troopers this afternoon.

If you have a child that will be five years of age by September 1, 2020, it is time to register them for kindergarten on Thursday, March 26th, 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.  at LES. Please read the flyer for further instructions.

Congratulations to senior Alex Cruez for placing in a tie for 6th at the IHSA Bowling Sectionals and qualifying for the IHSA state bowling tournament this weekend. Good luck Alex! We will all be cheering for you! Great job to her coaches Penni Liebig and Nikki Waters also.

UPDATE ON SENIOR NIGHT Tomorrow night (Feb 18) will be our Senior Night recognition for basketball, cheerleading, band and bowling. Dupo contacted us to let us know they do not have enough to play a JV game so we will open doors at 6:00 P.M. We will recognize seniors starting at 6:50 P.M. and then we will have normal warmups before the game and start the varsity game at approximately 7:15 P.M. We are also having our Organ and Tissue Donor Awareness night tomorrow night. Information will be available to everyone who would like some information on being a donor. Along with Senior Night our Band Boosters are hosting a Taco Tuesday Night in the Commons Area from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. - make it a night with District 9! Please spread the word

Band Booster’s will be having a Taco Food Bar, Tuesday February 18th from 4-7pm in the High School Commons. All are welcome! $5 for kids 12 & under $7 for adults All you can eat! Please come out and support the Band!

Our volleyball team was celebrating Mr. Cruthis and Jackson’s give and receive a kidney one year anniversary.

Reminder...tomorrow, Friday 14th we will have an early dismissal at 11:15 am for our Teacher Institute. Also, NO school on Monday 17th for President’s Day. Finally, please dress warm tomorrow with temperatures approaching zero degrees in the morning.

Our fifth graders participated in a Google Hangout with Walt Clark, a meteorologist from the National Weather Service in Oregon this morning.

Thank you to Lebanon Fire Department!!! The Life Skills Program has been discussing fire safety and we enjoyed a hands-on visit from two local firefighters!

DISTRICT 9 BAND TACO TUESDAY NIGHT ALONG WITH SENIOR NIGHT AT THE LHS BASKETBALL GAME -TACOS FROM 4:00 P.M TO 7:00 P.M.

Eighth grade science improving their engineering skills!

LHS Students competed in the Academic Challenge at SWIC on February 7, 2020. Bridget Sampson placed 3rd in Chemistry and 2nd in English and Colin Berry placed 2nd in Engineering Graphics. Both students will advance to Sectionals on March 6. Congratulations!
