Christmas PJ day.

LHS/LJHS getting in the holiday spirit this week! Santa and her Elf are getting ready!

Our students competed in a First LEGO League qualifier yesterday at Whiteside. Our newly formed program was formed to engage students in research, problem solving, coding and engineering.

On Thursday, Dr Darryn Diuguid, from McKendree University, brought his Language Arts class to visit Mrs Dengler’s kindergarten classroom. The college students observed the kindergarten students during Brain Bins, Morning Message and Interactive Writing. They listened as the kindergarten students discussed problem solving during the character education program called Second Step. The character education lesson carried over into the Shared Reading lesson on THE RECESS QUEEN.
