Our Greyhounds won their Regional game on Tuesday night 56-44 over Maryville Christian. They will now play the Shiloh Wildcats on Friday night at 6:00 at home for the Regional Championship and a chance to advance to the class M state tournament. Please come out and support the Greyhounds!!!!!

Lebanon alumni Jesse Essenpreis come in and talk to our junior high boys basketball team as they get ready for the regional this week. Coach Essenpreis has been very successful as a coach in Aviston and now at West Junior High, but it isn't just the wins and state championship that makes him successful but also the impact and guidance he has on his players as he prepares them to be good students and citizens.
He spoke to the players about what it means to wear Lebanon on their jerseys and told them what it means to be proud to wear it. Also he told then to think about who they play for, is it a coach, is it a parent, is it a grandmother or neighbor etc...what drives them to work hard and be the best that they can be at everything.
Thank you coach Essenpreis for coming in and taking the time to teach these young players about more than just basketball. Maybe one day they will give back to the school as you have and maybe they will even bleed purple and white like you do.

Congratulations to our high school girls bowling team for winning the Cahokia Conference Illinois Division Tournament Championship today and to Neela Missey for winning the individual championship! Karsyn Bertelsman placed 4th individually earning All-Conference honors also.
On the boy's side, our Greyhounds finished 2nd as a team behind Wesclin and Aaron Suydam finished 3rd as an individual making the All-Conference Team.

Yesterday, we had a blast at the "All About Animals" Saturday STEM event hosted by IMSA! š¾ LES and other area students in Grades 1-2 dove into the fascinating world of animals and biology with hands-on investigations, storytelling, and fun activities.
They explored how animals are similar to their parents, learned what makes each species unique, and even studied owl pellets to uncover how animals stay healthy by eliminating what they donāt need! š¦āØ Weāre so inspired by the creativity and curiosity of these young learners.
A huge thank you to everyone who participated and made this event a success!š

Thank you to everyone who came out for 8th grade night last night, we had a great crowd and a good game. The 8th graders lost 35-30 but the players very well and the cheerleaders did a great halftime routine!
A little more snow day spirit sent in by Caleb Koch. Maybe we will get lucky to get more snow over the next few weeks and we will have a contest.
Tonight is 8th grade night for our 8th grade boys basketball team and 8th grade cheerleaders. We will recognize them between games at approximately 7:00 pm, hope to see you there.
Reminder we will have our jh volleyball parent player coach meeting tonight at 6:30 and it will now be in the elementary library as the elementary gym will be occupied.
