These are our junior high sports spotlight athletes for the beginning of winter sports.
JH boys basketball
My spotlight athlete is Carter Powell.
He has done a great job working his best at every practice. Carter has been very vocal to encourage others to work hard and give praise.
His encouragement has made a big difference.
Braxton Bielong is one of the hardest workers at practice. He not only pushes himself to get better each and everyday, but helps to encourage other teammates during drills. He was helps to get the team back on track when going through our offenses and is always hustling on defense. He plays selflessly and looks to get others shots before himself. As a student, he is attentive and engaged in the classroom. The coaching staff is proud of his leadership both in the classroom and on the court.
Masen Davis
Masen is an integral part of our team. He is our main point guard and is one of the tone setters on our defense. He often takes the toughest matchups even when there is a large size difference. He has improved many parts of his game including utilizing his left hand and finishing at the rim. Most importantly he is a great character kid and we as a coaching staff are very proud of the work he has put in on and off the court.
JH Girls Basketball
Madison Esker
Madison has brought a great attitude and determination to the team this season. She has contributed offensively in each of the last 3 games. Madison's biggest contribution however has been her defense and rebounding. She finds herself in the right spots on both ends of the floor gathering up offensive and defensive rebounds.
Josie Casperson
Josie has been contributing at all three levels of the program. As one of two sixth graders she has shown great leadership on our 5/6th grade team. Josie is the startling point guard for our JV team and comes off the bench for our varsity team. No matter what the level is Josie brings competitive energy and aggressiveness. Her fearlessness on defense has been impressive.
JH Cheerleading
Lilly Powell
Lilly is standing out because she leads by example and takes charge when she needs to. She is a great role model for her teammates and shows what it means to be a leader both on and off the mat. Her confidence, positive attitude, and willingness to step up makes her a valuable part of our cheer team.
Caroline Nelson
Caroline is standing out because of her caring heart and the way she always puts others before herself. She goes out of her way to make sure everyone feels welcomed, included, and supported. Her kindness and positive attitude make her such a special part of our cheer team, and she reminds us how important it is to lift each other up!

So again, Sports Recognition Night will be on Monday Nov 9th at 6:30 in the high school commons. Thank you.

Thank you to everyone who packed the stands for our Purple & White Scrimmage! The energy and atmosphere in the gym were electric as we officially kicked off the season for our junior high boys and girls basketball teams and cheerleaders.
Thanks to your amazing support and generosity, we raised a fantastic amount of funds for our National Junior Honor Society (NJHS). These contributions directly support meaningful student events throughout the school year, including our junior high dances and Honor Roll recognition rewards.
On behalf of NJHS, our coaching staff, and all of our players and cheerleaders, thank you for showing up big for our kids and our school. We deeply appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you in the stands all season long!
