This camp is open to all students entering grades 5th–12th for the 2026–2027 school year. We also welcome participants from outside the Lebanon school district, so please feel free to share this opportunity with friends, family, or anyone interested in developing their volleyball skills this summer.
We are especially excited to share that we have partnered with the McKendree University Women’s Volleyball Team, whose players and coaches will be in attendance each day to assist with drills and provide valuable instruction and insight.
Last year, we welcomed over 30 campers, and we are looking forward to an even bigger and better experience this summer!

Position Summary
Lebanon CUSD #9 is seeking a dedicated and engaging Science Teacher to serve students in grades 6–12. The successful candidate will inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving through high-quality science instruction. Key Responsibilities
Instruction & Curriculum
Plan and deliver rigorous, standards-based science instruction aligned with the Illinois Learning Standards for Science and NGSS framework
Teach a range of science courses as assigned (e.g., general science, life science, physical science, biology, or other secondary science courses)
Design hands-on, inquiry-based lessons, labs, and experiments that promote scientific thinking
Integrate technology, data analysis, and real-world applications into instruction
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs and learning styles
Student Assessment
Develop and administer formative and summative assessments to monitor student learning
Maintain accurate records of grades, assignments, and progress
Provide timely, constructive feedback to students and communicate progress with parents/guardians
Collaboration & School Involvement
Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum and share best practices
Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and district initiatives
Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff
Contribute to a positive school culture and Greyhounds school spirit

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Science Education or a related scientific field
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate science endorsement(s) (middle school and/or high school)
Knowledge of Illinois Learning Standards and Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS)
Strong instructional, classroom management, and communication skills
Preferred
Experience teaching middle school and/or high school science
Ability to teach multiple science disciplines
Experience with laboratory instruction and safety protocols
CPR/AED and First Aid certification
Work Environment
Classroom and laboratory settings
Exposure to standard laboratory materials and equipment with appropriate safety precautions
Occasional participation in outdoor or field-based learning experiences
