TITLE: Part-Time Building Secretary (2026-2027 School Year)
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Secretarial experience (preferred)
2. High School diploma with proficiency in English, grammar, and
computer applications.
3. Working knowledge of basic office procedures and the operation of
common office equipment and machines.
4. Working knowledge of computers and software programs used within
the school system.
5. Demonstrated aptitude for successful completion of the tasks assigned.
6. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find
appropriate and acceptable.
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
JOB GOAL: To assure the smooth and efficient operation of the school office so that
the office’s maximum positive impact on the education of children can be
realized.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assists with daily student attendance and securing substitute teachers.
2. Assists with student enrollment and registration processes.
3. Performs typical office routines and practices associated with a busy,
yet productive and smoothly run office.
4. Maintains student records and keeps information confidential.
5. Receives and routes incoming calls.
6. Other duties as assigned by the building principal.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 10 month position (200 days) / Per the LCUSD#9 C.B.A.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually by the building
principal.
