LCUSD#9 families,
It’s hard to believe that summer break is quickly coming to a close. I hope that you’ve had an enjoyable summer break. While it feels like summer break always goes by way too fast for students and staff, we are excited to welcome our Greyhounds back to school for the 2026-2027 school year. It’s a great time to be a Greyhound!
Please read the information contained in this communication carefully as it contains the answers to many commonly asked back-to-school questions.
Your first opportunity to walk the hallways, get a look at classrooms, and meet teachers will be Tuesday, August 11th for elementary school families and Wednesday, August 12th for junior high and high school families. The open house events will both begin at 5:00pm in the gymnasium with a quick introduction and welcome from our new building principals, Mr. Stewart (LES) and Mrs. Jackson (LJHS/LHS).
As a reminder, our first day of student attendance is Thursday, August 13th. School times are listed below. We are looking forward to seeing you soon!

Lebanon District Registration
If you have not already done so, please check out the back to school registration information on our district website. Please click on the online registration link under “New and Returning Students” to complete the registration process for your students.
School fees for the 2026-2027 school year are found on the registration page linked above. These fees should be paid on My School Bucks or by dropping a check off in the office at your earliest convenience.
Open House Information
LES - Tuesday, August 11th - 5:00-6:30PM
All students in grades PreK-5 will be able to come meet their teacher, find their lockers, and say hi to staff! Mr. Stewart plans to begin with a quick introduction and welcome at 5:00pm in the LES Gym.
LJHS/LHS - Wednesday, August 12th - 5:00-6:30PM
Mrs. Jackson will also begin the open house with a quick introduction and welcome at 5:00 pm in the gym. Students and parents are encouraged to walk the halls following the students’ schedules following that, but there will be no bells during open house. Updated schedules will be provided at the open house event on August 12th.
Aug. 13th - Picture Day for junior high and high school students during the school day.

Aug. 13 - First day of school for students grades 1-12
Aug. 17 - First day of school for Pre-K and Kindergarten students

LJHS/LHS - 7:45-2:40 (7:45-1:20 on Wednesdays) - 11:00am on ½ Days
LES - 8:00-2:50 (8:00-1:30 on Wednesdays) - 11:15am on ½ Days
Important Health Information & Reminders
All Kindergarten, Sixth Grade, and Ninth Grade students (along with any students who are new to the district) will need to have a current physical and immunizations on file for the 26-27 school year.
All Kindergarten, Second Grade, Sixth Grade, and Ninth Grade students will need to have a current dental exam on file for the 26-27 school year.
Please make sure to get all physicals, immunization records, and dental exams to the school nurse by the first day of school - August 13th (1st-12th) or August 17th (PreK/K).

School Breakfast and Lunch
Our district qualified for the CEP Breakfast and Lunch Program again this year, so all students can eat breakfast and lunch at school for free! Any student who would like to purchase an extra entree or an additional snack will need to have money in their My School Bucks account or cash to pay for the extras, as there will be no charging this year. The free lunch and breakfast program is a tremendous opportunity for our students, and we hope they will take advantage of it.
