LCUSD#9 families,
Wow - - - what an awesome turnout we had on Wednesday evening at our Pack the House Night! Thank you so much to all of the families who came to participate in this event. A special thank you to our community vendors and partners for participating in the event, as well. Finally, a huge shoutout goes out to our strategic planning committee, staff, students, and especially Mrs. Emrick and Mrs. Venhaus for all of the time and energy they poured into the event to make it such a big hit. It was so successful that we may have to do it again next year. We had over 400 people in attendance, and the Lebanon PTO was generous enough to provide plenty of hot dogs and hamburgers for those in attendance. Thanks again to all who made this event so special. We enjoyed having so many of you on campus!
For those of you who missed the event, I have provided a link to the brief presentation I made at the end of the night on the state of the district. This presentation was very similar to my monthly superintendent’s reports that I make for the board of education, and I wanted families to have access to this information regardless of their ability to make it to a monthly board meeting or a large community event like we had on Wednesday.
Annual State Assessments - Thank you to our teachers and staff members for their hard work during the preparation stages and administration of the annual state assessments. Thanks to our parents and family members for helping our students remember to get plenty of rest, eat a healthy breakfast, and be to school on time during the testing season. Thank you to our students for giving their best effort on these tests. We are looking forward to seeing how our Greyhounds performed on the 2026 state assessments.

Finally, I would like to encourage each of you to pay attention to the growing list of upcoming events that I have listed at the bottom of this communication. While this is certainly not an exhaustive list at this time and dates will be added between now and the May update, this list does provide families with a quick look at some of the events on our Spring calendar. Please pay attention to the district website and individual school building communications for other events. Summer Camp opportunities will be included in the next LCUSD#9 update, as well.
You should also be hearing regularly from your child’s teachers and building principals with more timely and specific updates. As always, if I can ever be of assistance to you or your student, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

School Times for the 2025-2026 School Year
LJHS/LHS - 7:45-2:38 (7:45-1:15 on Wednesdays) - 11:00am on ½ Days
LES - 8:00-2:45 (8:00-1:30 on Wednesdays) - 11:15am on ½ Days
School Fees
School fees for the 2025-2026 school year have changed and are found on the registration page on the district website. These fees should be paid on My School Bucks or by dropping a check off in the office at your earliest convenience.
Important Health Information & Reminders
All Kindergarten, Sixth Grade, and Ninth Grade students (along with any students who are new to the district) will need to have a current physical and immunizations on file for the 25-26 school year.
All Kindergarten, Second Grade, Sixth Grade, and Ninth Grade students will need to have a current dental exam on file for the 25-26 school year.
Please make sure to get all physicals, immunization records, and dental exams to the school nurse as soon as possible!
