Hello Lebanon School Community. Hope everyone is staying healthy. As you are aware the school closure has been extended until April 7th. Continue to work on your academic packets and e-learning. Additionally with the shelter in place we will be expanding our breakfast and lunch service to every student in the district. Tomorrow, Monday, March 23 we will have breakfast and lunch bags for every student in the district. This will be for all free, reduced and regular lunch students free of charge. To limit exposure for staff and students we will be doing only one day of pick up for the entire week. When you pick up B/L bag you will receive a total of 5 bags, one for each day of the week. Pick up will be tomorrow 8:00-10:00am at the elementary school gym, or the HS commons and we will also have an additional pick up at Summerfield Fireman’s Hall at 9:00am. We appreciate the flexibility as things change daily. Stay well! Mr Keeney

I want to reassure our school community that as we face school closure our teachers, staff and administration will continue to engage our students academically. Our teachers have prepared packets, emails and Google Classroom to help access academic opportunities. Please do your best to help your student work on the material over break. We will have packet pick up from 5:00-7:00pm tonight, March 16th and from 8:00am-noon tomorrow, March 17. Please stop in at those times to pick up your academic packets, books, academic supplies and student prescription medicines. High school/JrHS pick up for packets and materials in HS Commons and Elementary pick up will be in Elementary Gym. Please be patient as we find the best ways to meet the needs of our students while we engage them remotely. Please communicate via email with your students teachers if you have any questions. Stay well! Mr. Keeney

Good afternoon Lebanon CUSD#9 stakeholders, The COVID-19 (Coronavirus) has become the issue discussed in every location across the country at this time. Lebanon CUSD#9 administration, nurse and County Health Department have been working on preventative measures to reduce the likelihood of exposure and transmission within our schools. Recommendations to use good hygiene such as washing hands, not touching your face, and not reporting to school or work if you experience flu-like (cough, fever, respiratory issues or any other signs of illness) symptoms continue to be the focus for each of us. However, it has become evident that additional measures may become necessary to combat the spread. Currently, school is one of the safest atmosphere for our students. This is a very fluid situation and may change even by the time this correspondence goes out. We will prepare for the worst case scenario, but hope for the best. We are continuously in contact with the County Health department, which is in contact with local, state and federal officials. As circumstances change, so do our plans. If there is a confirmed case of COVID-19 locally, school closure will likely be one of the first considerations. We plan to have more information about opportunities and/or expectations of continued learning should a prolonged district closure occur. Our commitment at this time is to the safety and wellbeing of all Lebanon CUSD#9 students and staff. Regarding field trips, extracurricular and curricular activities, we will make decisions based on the risk of exposure for our students and staff. If it becomes evident that participation increases the risk of exposure, we will suspend or cancel as needed. We certainly respect parents’ decisions should they desire to opt out of any activities at this time. As this situation continues to be fluid, we will be exploring options to meet students’ individual needs to ensure a continuity of education. Best regards, Mr. Keeney
